PENENTUAN MODEL KESETIMBANGAN PROSES ADSORBSI LOGAM KROMIUM PADA LIMBAH CAIR MENGGUNAKAN LIMBAH CANGKANG TELUR

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari proses kesetimbangan yang terjadi pada proses adsorbsi logam kromium menggunakan cangkang telur sebagai adsorben. Serbuk cangkang telur dikarakterisasi menggunakan FT-IR untuk mengetahui gugus fungsi yang ada pada cangkang telur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode batch dengan waktu kontak tetap (60 menit) dan konsentrasi awal larutan kromium yang berbeda-beda sebanyak 50 mL. Persentase efektifitas adsorbsi diperoleh (98,57 ± 0,23) menunjukkan cangkang telur efektif digunakan sebagai adsorben logam kromium pada limbah cair. Model kesetimbangan proses adsorbsi Langmuir, Freundlich, dan Temkin diaplikasikan pada data penelitian. Masing-masing konstanta pada tiap model dihitung berdasarkan analisis plot regresi.
